Immune systems rock !!

Unless you are someone who has stretched up one of your ears, this blog may have no shred of understanding to you. Otherwise, it's fascinating. I recently started to stretch up my right ear. Being fully aware of the risks in stretching too fast, I took my time getting it up to about 6mm. However, I began to notice that my ear was becoming unusually warm for this process and a little gooey, to say the least. The lubrication of the plug is your bodies way of trying to expel a foreign object and some people find this gets a bit whiffy at times. I find this with surgical steel but not with bone plugs. I decided to take the plug out for a routine clean when, to my surprise, I found half the plug eaten away. Apparently this is due to my body trying to re-absorb the bone, failing to do so and then breaking it down instead. I have since replaced the plug with a steel one and, so far, no problems. Isn't nature amazing !!
